Sunday May 22 Event! The Power of 10 Confronts the Power of the Dark Side

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away….

    Episode X
Confronts the Power of the Dark Side

It is a dark time for Disney/STAR WARS fans. Star Tours remains an empty shell after the evil lord Darth Vader and his bounty hunter Boba Fett closed the attraction with a thermal detonator.

However, a creative group of young IMAGINEERS have re-established a new, improved STAR TOURS base in the mysterious tropical SWAMP world of Florida.

To commemorate this event, and pay tribute to legendary VICTORY celebrations of the Ewoks, Naboo, and Gungans, a party of EPIC proportions was planned with invitations extending deep into the far reaches of space….

The Power of 10 Confronts the Power of the Dark Side
Fundraising Event for Give Kids The World

Once the park opens at 8am, you may leave the event if you choose and enjoy any of the attractions in the park (theme park admission required), or you can stay and mix and mingle with us until 9:30am. Note: attendance at this breakfast will NOT guarantee first in line or first ride status for the new Star Tours attraction.

    Breakfast Buffet would include:

    Assorted Muffins, Bagels, and Danish
    Plain Scrambled Eggs
Breakfast Quesadillas with eggs, sausage, onions, peppers and cheddar cheese
    Smoked Bacon
    Turkey Sausage

    Sliced fruit and Berry yogurt
    Coffee, Decaf Coffee, and Tea

Cost: $50/adult (ages 10+), $25/child (ages 3-9), children 2 and under are free. The admission fee goes towards paying for breakfast, reserving the venue, and making a donation to Give Kids The World via the Power of 10: Give Kids The World $1,000,000 Challenge.

Kristen and I plan on being there during the first SWW, however we are leaving early on Sunday. We would love to do a meet up, perhaps dinner, late on Saturday. We are staying on property as well.

We may even be able to do some type of joint broadcast or live stream. Either way Kristen and I hope we can all meet up!

Fantastic Aljon! I've heard from some others that Saturday, May 21st may be better for people. So I'm looking into that day too. I just need to hear back from Disney to get some numbers for how much it would cost. I'll definitely keep you posted.

We're in--2, Rob and Janet Sala. Do we need to do something more official? For this trip we've got Dolphin reservations through DreamsUnlimited. Does that make anything easier?

    Thanks!

Dana, no more hush hush - the contract has been signed, and we're looking to get as many people as we can. I'd love it if you did a post on your blog about it. Please make sure you share a link with us too!

Hi Janet, we're going to have an official signup and payment page. All payments will need to be made before the event. We're thinking of a cutoff of 2 weeks to 10 days beforehand. We're working on the page now, and should have it up soon. Thanks for your excitement and support!
