Like a previous poster mentioned, I like the idea of getting kids involved. My first idea was something like the "Power of Pennies" - kids could collect spare change or just pennies to contribute.
My other idea is "The Power of 10%" - I plan to give 10% of my income tax refund to GKTW. I'm not one of those people that gets a huge refund, but it's a start.
If we have ideas on supplying things to auction or need help "marketing" possible fundraisers what should we do?
Hi guys,
Just wanted to post another idea for a fundraiser. I just recently did this at our work place and will be making a donation for $775.00 later today. I work at an insurance/ annuities company where we can generally dress business casual. I went through HR at our company and they allow us to do dress down days for charities. People buy a sticker for $5 and our allowed to wear jeans/ sneakers on a designated day. Thought this might be an easy option for some to do at their workplace. You do have to contact GKTW and they will send you a form to fill out and some materials such as their logo and information packet. Sometimes it's hard to find friends who can afford to give $10 but it was easy to get a whole bunch of people to give $5 to be able to wear jeans to work.
Hope maybe someone else can use this idea!

My idea is for my partner and i to walk around World Showcase 10 times, for a "Walk Around the Worlds for GKTW" fundraiser and get sponsors. My next opportunity will be President's Day 2013. That is a good half marathon and we could snap photos and post them as we go. What do you think?
